CS2 Config Safety Auditor

Review a CS2 config copy in your browser for duplicate assignments and caution-worthy statements.

A config file can contain years of copied commands. Many lines are harmless, but stale recommendations and conflicting assignments can make troubleshooting harder. This local checker identifies a few review-worthy patterns without executing your configuration.

INTERACTIVE WORKBENCHLOCAL PROCESSING · NO ACCOUNT

Inspect before you paste.

Paste a copy of a CS2 .cfg file. This lightweight local review flags duplicates, suspicious launch-option fragments and dangerous-looking statements; it is not a complete command validator.

Max 50,000 characters. Nothing is sent to the server.

RESULT / READOUT

Paste config text to start the local review.
Measure under repeatable conditions. A suggestion is not a hardware or network diagnosis.

How the review works

The browser reads your pasted text and looks for command-like lines, repeated assignments, a handful of potentially disruptive patterns and surprising launch-option fragments. Nothing is uploaded or saved to our server.

Because commands change between Counter-Strike releases, the tool deliberately does not label every unrecognized command invalid. A clean result means only that its limited checks did not flag a pattern.

Why repeated commands matter

A command assigned multiple values can lead to confusion about the effective setting. Not every repetition is harmful: repeated bind statements may target different keys, and aliases can be deliberately redefined.

The checker therefore does not treat every repeated command as an error. Review context and the actual key or parameter before changing anything.

Apply changes conservatively

Export or copy the original configuration before editing. Make one change, launch a controlled test, and revert if the intended behavior is not observed.

Do not execute unknown config files from strangers. Avoid scripts that require disabling security measures or changing system privileges simply to get an alleged FPS boost.
